I love a good pair of earbuds! In fact, I really can’t function without my personal earbuds. Once my earbuds are in, the rest of the world is out. I deep dive into the world of my favorite tunes, away from real-world problems, happy in my own little audio bubble. Hence, owning a pair of innovative and perfect earbuds is an absolute necessity for me, and I’m sure that’s the case for most music lovers out there as well. Quite a few of us are Team AirPods all the way. Let’s remember that great earbuds go beyond Apple as well. This nifty list includes all of them. This collection of exciting designs has a pair of earbuds for everyone. These earbuds provide unique design solutions and are a must-have for audiophiles.

1.BD-1

Say hello to BD-1 – a pair of conceptual TWS earbuds that have been modeled on Teenage Engineering’s OP-1 synthesizer. The OP-1 synth became quite popular when it was used in the Swedish House Mafia’s first music video. The BD-1 mimics the same design cues, and it is quite boxy and white, with colorful ear tips that match the colors of the OP-1 synth. The earbuds come in a case with a small AMOLED display like the one found on the OP-1.

2. Flex Open Earbuds

JLab has created an open clip style earbuds design quite similar to the Bose Ultra Open earbuds seen at CES 2024. The new earbuds design at CES had a price tag of $300, and they attracted a lot of attention. JLab’s version is called the Flex Open Earbuds and they provide the same features as the high-end earbuds, but they’re much more economical! Priced at $50, the open-ear accessory is a must-try for anyone who loves experimenting with new audio accessories.

3. Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds3 Pro

Samsung recently introduced its latest audio devices called the Galaxy Buds3 and the Buds3 Pro. The new earbuds have been created to uplift and enhance your everyday audio listening experience, irrespective if you’re home, working out, or simply on the go. It is amped with nifty and handy features, and it also showcases a refined design, which has something unique and appealing for almost everyone.

4. Immortal 121 Earbuds

Designed by boAT Lifestyle, these TWS earbuds have been shaped like Deadpool’s mask. The Immortal 121 earbuds are equipped with cutting-edge features, packed in an incredible package that costs only USD 20.35. The Deadpool earbuds offer 40 hours of playback, 40 milliseconds of latency, Bluetooth 5.3, adjustable EQ, IPx4 water resistance, and a game-changing 10-minute charging time so you’re never out of energy!

5. Gravastar Sirius P5 Buds

Named the Gravastar Sirius P5 buds, these super cool earbuds have charging cases inspired by the futuristic genre. They have names like Defense Armor, Defense Mecha, and Defense Crystal. The earbuds are made from either zinc alloy or a“ LEGO-like material prized for strength and rigidity”. The cases have a pretty distinct character and are quite appealing to fans of particular subsets of the sci-fi genre.

6. The Cell Buds

Designed by Minwoo Kim, the Cell Buds are an incredible evolution of the earbuds into a wearable that helps the blind navigate through crowded spaces, or be aware of what’s going on around them with the help of sound cus. The buds are amped with nano camera units that keep track of important information. This removes the need for transparency mode to keep an eye on your surroundings, or in situations where strong ANC is needed.

7. The Logitech G Fits

The Logitech G Fits are quite similar to the Ultimate Ears’ UE Fits earbuds which are equipped with the Lightform feature. The features make the custom molded fit possible. The G series earbuds have a feature list that is great for gamers and power users. The pill-shaped earbuds when inserted into the ear canals urge the user to push a button so that the gel tips harden with flashing LEDs, occupying the ear’s canal shape in a 60-second setup.

8. Bored Buds

Called the Bored Buds, these earbuds concept are intuitively designed and also meant to be multi-functional. The earbuds also form part of a Bluetooth speaker. When you’re not listening to music using earbuds, they are tucked away in the speakers through the protective case, and they function as control buttons. The speaker does not have any interface or displays, so the earbuds function as your on/off, pause/play, and volume up/down buttons.

9. The Nothing Ear (Stick)

The Nothing Ear (Stick) is a new case design for the Ear (1) buds, but unlike the old design which is square-shaped, this one has the same shape and size as lipstick, or if you’re looking for a more mundane term then a nebulizer. However, we are unsure if the earbuds within the Ear (Stick) are the same old earbuds or new ones. However, this new SKU will receive a new revamping in the form of a spec upgrade.

10. Quite Comfort Earbuds II

Called the Quite Comfort Earbuds II, these earbuds by Bose take Apple head-on. They’re claimed to be the “world’s best noise cancellation”, and they are quite notice-worthy. The earbuds are one-third the size of their predecessors, and are equipped with better ergonomic comfort and fit. They call it the Fit Kit. They come with the Custom Tune sound calibration that were seen earlier in the SoundControl hearing aids.

Dyson OnTrac Headphones: A Comeback After Dyson Zone’s Air Purifier Headphone Flop?

]]>

When Dyson Zone headphones with a visor for beaming fresh air into your nose were released a couple of years ago, we were taken aback by the idea. Although the prospective buyers didn’t show much affinity towards the unconventional ANC cans costing $1,000, we knew Dyson was working under wraps to reclaim lost glory in the headphones segment. They were poised to take the heat to Sony 1000XM5, Bose QuietComfort Ultra, Apple AirPods Max, Bowers & Wilkins PX7, and Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless.

This time the UK-based consumer tech giant has come up with a more conventional pair of headphones that are ultra-customizable. Meet the Dyson OnTrac headphones that tout class-leading ANC performance akin to the QuietComfort Ultra and AirPods Max. Audio quality is also the USP just like B&W PX7 or Momentum 4 Wireless. Priced at the upper end of the consumer tech segment, the cans have enough meat to pack a punch.

Designer: Dyson

The color customization of the headphones makes them stand out from the crowd with more than 2,000 possible combinations of the interchangeable outer cap covers and ear cushions made out of ultra-soft microfiber material. This is on top of the 4 basic color options in different material choices including CNC Copper, CNC Aluminium and CNC Black Nickel. OnTrac will also come in a special Ceramic Cinnabar version draped in a painted finish with a ceramic feel.

The headphones have an eight-microphone system capable of 40 decibels of reduction in unwanted sound courtesy of the 384,000 sound sampling per second. Good sound quality is a priority for the creators of the headphones, hence, the OnTracs feature 40mm drivers to reproduce the frequencies as intended by the artist. The frequency range of 6Hz to 21,000Hz makes you feel the rumble of sub-bass without muffling things and the highs are crystal clear. The Bluetooth codecs supported include SBC, AAC and the newer LHDC version.

The superior performance of the ANC doesn’t take a toll on the battery as Dyson promises 55 hours of impressive backup with Active Noise Canceling turned on. A charge of half an hour will juice them up for around 9 hours of playback. The controls for toggling volume levels, track change and ANC on/off are done with a tactile joystick button on the outside of either cup. Comfort is also important so the multi-pivot gimbal arms ensure the right amount of clamping force to prevent any pressure on the ears.

Samsung has introduced its latest audio devices, the Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. These new earbuds are designed to enhance your daily listening experience, whether at home, on the go, or working out. They come with handy features and a refined design, offering something for everyone.

Designer: Samsung

Galaxy Buds3: Versatile and Reliable

The Galaxy Buds3 are open-ear earbuds, perfect for those who need a dependable set for everyday use. They have a comfortable, ergonomic design that fits snugly in your ears, ensuring they stay put even during intense activities. Available in black, white, and navy, the Buds3 has a simple and clean look that works with any style.

The Buds3 delivers clear sound across all frequencies, with improved drivers that enhance bass response for a rich audio experience. Whether listening to music, taking calls, or watching videos, the Buds3 provides quality sound without fuss.

A standout feature of the Galaxy Buds3 is their active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. This feature helps block out background noise, allowing you to focus on your music or conversation. The transparency mode lets you stay aware of your surroundings when needed, making it easy to switch between focused listening and situational awareness.

The Buds3’s battery life is solid. It offers up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge and an additional 20 hours with the charging case. The case is compact and easy to carry, ensuring your Buds3 are always ready to go. Fast charging means you can get an hour of playback from just a 10-minute charge.

The Galaxy Buds3 also works seamlessly with other Galaxy devices. You can easily switch between your phone, tablet, and watch without missing a beat. Touch controls on the earbuds let you manage your music, answer calls, and activate your voice assistant with a simple tap.

Galaxy Buds3 Pro: Premium Audio Performance

For those looking for a bit more from their earbuds, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro offers advanced features and high-quality sound. These in-ear earbuds are designed with audiophiles in mind, delivering great sound in a compact, wireless form. Available in black, white, navy, and burgundy, the Buds3 Pro adds a touch of sophistication to your audio gear.

The Buds3 Pro features Samsung’s advanced dual-driver technology, combining a woofer and tweeter in each earbud to provide detailed sound across all frequencies. The enhanced ANC technology in the Buds3 Pro is more effective, reducing ambient noise significantly. This creates an immersive listening experience in a noisy office or on a busy street.

The Buds3 Pro also includes a new 3D audio feature. This feature creates a surround sound experience that adapts to your head movements, making it feel like you’re in the center of the action. This feature is great for watching movies or playing games, providing a more dynamic and engaging audio experience.

Comfort is critical with the Galaxy Buds3 Pro. They come with multiple ear tip sizes and wing tips, ensuring a secure fit for all-day wear. The buds are also sweat—and water-resistant, making them ideal for workouts and outdoor activities.

The Buds3 Pro’s battery life is excellent. With ANC on, it offers up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge and an additional 21 hours with the charging case. The case supports wireless and fast charging, so you can quickly boost your battery.

The Galaxy Buds3 Pro also features intelligent active noise control, which automatically adjusts the level of noise cancellation based on your environment. This makes it easy to enjoy your music without constantly fiddling with settings.

Complementary Features with Galaxy Ring and Watch

The Buds3 and Buds3 Pro provide a complete health and connectivity experience when paired with the Galaxy Ring or Galaxy Watch. The seamless integration allows for effortless switching between devices, ensuring you stay connected and informed throughout the day. Whether you’re tracking your health metrics with the Ring, managing your fitness with the Watch, or enjoying high-quality audio with the Buds, Samsung’s ecosystem works together to make your day smoother.

Final Thoughts

Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro offer a range of features to fit different needs. The Buds3 provides reliable performance and essential features, making them perfect for everyday use. Meanwhile, the Buds3 Pro delivers a premium audio experience with advanced noise cancellation and immersive sound. Both models integrate seamlessly with Samsung’s other wearables, creating a connected experience that fits your lifestyle. We’re excited to try these earbuds out in different scenarios and share our thoughts. For more information and to pre-order these devices, visit Samsung’s official website.

Amazon Echo Spot returns with a fresh new look that ditches the camera

]]>

We rarely hear about new smart speakers these days. Either they have died off or that all wireless speakers are expected to be smart anyway. Even rarer, however, is news on smart speakers with displays, a.k.a. smart displays, outside of a few select devices, like the Google Pixel Tablet, and rumors, like a new Apple HomePod with a screen. Even Amazon, arguably the brand that really kicked off the smart speaker market, is pretty silent, at least until now. Seven years after it first launched, the controversial Echo Spot is making a comeback, bearing an aesthetic that is more modern, more soothing, and, more importantly, more privacy-focused.

Designer: Amazon

The first Amazon Echo Spot launched in 2017 as the smaller sibling to the Echo Show, perhaps the market’s first smart display. It had a funky circular screen and was positioned as a hi-tech bedside alarm clock rather than a general-purpose smart speaker with a display like the Echo Show. Unfortunately, two things made it less palatable even to Amazon’s loyal following: its price and the fact that it had a camera, a big no-no for something that’s supposed to stay in a very private part of your home.

After what felt like forever, the second-gen Echo Spot is finally rolling out with a design that addresses both concerns. At $79.99, it’s immediately half the launch price of its predecessor, and Prime Members can even get it for only $44.99 for Prime Day. It also no longer has a camera, but you can still make audio calls as usual. At least you won’t have to worry about people peeking at you, accidentally or otherwise.

With that functionality out of the way, there’s no longer a reason for a full display on the front, freeing Amazon to adopt a new design that is admittedly more suited for a bedroom. It still has a spherical shape that looks more like a tilted bowl, and the outer surface is still the same matte plastic material. The front, however, is now split in half, with a brighter and more vibrant screen taking up the upper portion, and a fabric-covered 1.73-inch front-facing directional speaker. The new Echo Spot also comes in a new Ocean Blue colorway in addition to the traditional Black and Glacier White.

You can still touch that screen to control some of the speaker’s smart functions, though it really shines more when giving visual feedback to queries and commands. Being Amazon, the focus is on voice control and AI smarts, including routines and the ability to control other smart devices in the house. This does mean that the Echo Spot is always listening even if it is never watching, but there’s a physical mute button on its back when you really want that privacy in the bedroom.

JLab Flex Open earbuds match Bose Ultra Open for a fraction of a price

]]>

The earbuds’ answer to open-ear headphones is the clip-on style that doesn’t sit deep in the ear canal, therefore less chance of permanent hearing damage if you listen to music at high levels. Bose Ultra Open earbuds created quite the buzz at CES 2024 for this new earbuds design but a price tag of $300 only attracted enthusiasts.

Now JLab has come up with a similar open clip style design called Flex Open earbuds. The pair offers most of what the high-end earbuds offer and that too at a fraction of a price. Being only $50 makes this open-ear accessory worth the try if you are eager to try out new audio accessories.

Designer: JLab

For those who want to be aware of the ambient sounds around them, the open-ear design is perfect. That’s where the Flex Open excels for a sixth of the price offered by the best in the industry. They even manage to beat the Bose’s earbuds with an IP55 rating and multipoint connectivity right out of the box. Battery life is also impressive at seven hours on a single charge and 21 more hours on the charging case. Compare that to the Ultra Open which lasts a couple of hours less in real-life testing. While you cannot expect the audio quality to be anywhere close to Bose, still the 12mm drivers deliver a thumping sound.

The only thing you can complain about is the lack of spatial audio with head tracking, but most people like me don’t bother much. Call quality in noisy environments can be a bit of a hit-and-miss with these, but if you’re using them majorly for music listening, they are a bang for the buck. After all for that price, how much wrong can these go? One thing that’ll make you ditch these earbuds is the lack of the latest lossless Bluetooth codec from Qualcomm if you care about those things.

The companion app for the Flex Open lets you toggle the sound signature to stay close to the preferred curve. In a way, these earbuds tick all the right boxes if you are on a budget and want to try out this new open-ear earbuds trend for once without breaking the bank.

Teenage Engineering has become an inseparable part of the music community in the past decade. Ever since their OP-1 synth debuted on Swedish House Mafia’s music video for their song ‘One’, the company has been on a rise, launching Pocket Operators, recording/playback gear, turntables for children, and even venturing into phones for Nothing and the R1 AI device for Rabbit. Their position in the new-age music industry, however, remains cemented for the next few years to come – but if there’s one device missing from their music-making tech repertoire, it’s a great DJ console. While most people love making music, there’s a case to be made that if you want to connect with your listeners, you need to perform your music too – and deejay consoles help artists do just that. Designed to bridge this product gap, Chris Matthews designed the OP-J, a Teenage Engineering-inspired console for disc jockeys looking to play and remix tunes.

Designer: Chris Matthews

Deejay consoles don’t really need to be portable, but there’s an understated beauty to how sleek the OP-J is. It’s about as thick as its synthesizer sibling, with the same design language running through. You’ve got two rotating discs, knobs, keys, buttons, cross-faders, a speaker, and two screens that guide you through playback as well as effect settings.

Keeping in theme with the company’s focus on music creation, the OP-J allows you to do more than just play and merge tracks. Sure, it’s a pretty capable DJ console, with everything a disc jockey would need to get on stage and drop the bass… but you’ve got 8 keys and 8 more buttons to record/trigger loops, play melodies, or activate certain intros/outros to spice up your songs. Although it isn’t shown here, I wouldn’t be surprised if you could hook the OP-1 to the setup and take your performance to even higher levels.

Color-coded knobs let you control effects and envelopes, while a dedicated display just for the effects lets you monitor what you’re up to. It’s unusual for a DJ console to come with its own speaker, but just in case you want to practice in the privacy of your home or hotel room, the OP-J lets you nerd out without needing a separate speaker system. Yes, audio jacks on the bottom let you hook external speakers if you can, or headphones so you can preview tracks before cueing them.

The OP-J is just a fan-made concept for now, but if someone from Teenage Engineering reads this, we all could use an OP-style deejay console! Besides, let’s also take some time out to appreciate the Darth Vader-esque black and red version below?!

Pet getting scared of 4th July fireworks? These quirky yet effective Dog Headphones with ANC can help

]]>

Fourth of July can be a really fun time for the entire country, but a very stressful time for pet parents who have to deal with the extreme anxiety that dogs feel around those loud bangs and other noises. Dogs are highly sensitive to sound, so any loud noises, be it the pop of a firework or even the bang of a thunderstorm, can cause them high amounts of stress. Kirsten Brand nearly lost her dog Emma when a firework show on the 4th of July caused the pet to get so scared that she ran away from home. “After what seemed like hours, we found my furbaby, Emma, down the street. Thankfully, she had been taken into a garage by a neighbor, to ride out the rest of the firework show,” Kirsten mentioned.

That prompted her to design the Pawnix, a pet ‘helmet’ that covers their ears to dampen loud noises, while also playing calming and soothing sounds via Bluetooth. Sort of like ANC Headphones but for dogs, the Pawnix keeps your pets calm with relaxing audio, while also wrapping around their head to make them feel a sense of physical security and comfort.

Designer: Pawnix

Improved over various iterations, the Pawnix now comes with a foam-padded neoprene design, similar to the laptop sleeves you usually see people carry their MacBooks in. The helmet, shaped to look almost like a bonnet for your pet, wraps around the dog’s head, with pockets for the ears to fit in. The design works equally well for dogs with all kinds of ears, whether they’re erect, semi-erect, or hanging down. 4-way stretch Anti-microbial fabric with durable stitching means the Pawnix can go without being washed, and can definitely endure your dog trying to scratch at it or take it off.

On the inside, a set of audio drivers with active noise canceling and Bluetooth 5.0 let your dog listen to calming soundscapes instead of loud noises. Pop the headphones on, and you can connect your phone to the Pawnix via Bluetooth, choosing from a variety of calming sounds (you can actually find dog-calming tracks on YouTube). Alternatively, just the Pawnix itself should be able to drown out less intense noises like a dinner party with loud music. The Pawnix comes in 4 colors, and 4 sizes too, although there’s also an option to custom-make a Pawnix for even larger dogs.

The world’s favorite merc got himself some merch!

A perfect accessory to have around you to celebrate the release of what could be the most highly anticipated Marvel movie since Endgame, these TWS earbuds come literally shaped to look like Deadpool’s mask. Designed by the folks at boAt Lifestyle, the Immortal 121 earbuds (that’s a fun name) have cutting-edge features bundled in a package that just costs Rs. 1699 INR ($20.35 USD). You’re looking at 40 hours of playback (with the charging case), 40 milliseconds of latency, Bluetooth 5.3, adjustable EQ, IPx4 water resistance, and a game-changing 10-minute charging time so you’re never out of energy… just like the overtly verbose hitman in red.

The Immortal 121 launched back in December 2023, but only recently saw a Deadpool-specific edition. The design for the most part remains unchanged, but call it a coincidence that the earbuds case lends itself perfectly to the shape of the Deadpool mask. In fact, the two black eye patches are actually transparent tinted too, letting you somewhat peek into the case to see the earbuds.

The TWS earbuds themselves are exceptional for their price point, especially coming from India’s largest audio hardware company. 10mm drivers deliver a frequency range of 20Hz-20,000Hz, while touch-sensitive sides let you control music playback, volume, and answer/reject calls. The earphones themselves deliver 180 minutes of listening time, while the case brings that up to 40 hours. boAt’s ASAP™ Charge feature lets you enable 10-minute fast-charging when you’re in a rush. With the ASAP™ Charge disabled, the case will take 1.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100, helping conserve battery health in the process.

Other features on the Immortal 121 include boAt’s Beast Mode, which gives the earbuds 40ms of latency for wireless audio while gaming. The earbuds come with adjustable EQ, quad mics for clear voice calls, ENx™ or environmental noise cancellation, and a feature every gamer will love, LEDs that glow to make the case come to life!

All that in a $20 pair of TWS earbuds is highly impressive… and that ISN’T including the fact that the case literally looks like Deadpool’s mask. The boAt Immortal 121 Deadpool Edition rings in the upcoming Deadpool vs. Wolverine movie that launches on the 26th of this month. boAt sells a Hulk edition of the Immortal 121 too, but that honestly doesn’t feel as perfect as this match made in heaven!

Nocs Design is known for its intricately crafted audio accessories that hone minimalism. Purely focused on the acoustic signature and the build quality, the Sweden-based studio has revealed its new wireless speaker as a follow-up to the popular hand-crafted Monolith speaker.

This is the Nocs Monolith Aluminium speaker designed for audiophiles who give high weightage to minimalism in their lifestyle. The material choice for this wireless speaker is a deep research exercise for eliminating recycled plastics. According to Founder Daniel Alms, the result is a single block of aluminum CNC machined to achieve a classy look. Most of all the speaker is fully recyclable, making it the ideal choice when it comes to sustainability that the brand is highly conscious of.

Designer: Nocs Design

According to Daniel, a lot of time and effort was put into crafting the perfect symmetry for driver positioning inside the anodized aluminum housing. Unlike any other product design, minimalism isn’t just a fancy word here. Nocs refrains from using any logos, highlighting the sleek appearance of the solid aluminum form. This speaker is well positioned in the lineup, right between the Mini and the Monolith. To top it all, the ‘cradle-to-cradle consumer product’ is fully repairable and boasts easily replaceable parts.

Those grilles lie just above the five drivers are precisely positioned to deliver a rich and wide sound in any room. Alm has tuned the sound signature in collaboration with musicians and DJs which speaks highly about the speaker’s capability when it comes to satisfying audiophiles. The idea behind this distinction is to foster a “deep connection between the artist and the audience.”

Nocs Monolith Aluminium speaker is all set to be delivered to interested buyers in November 2024. Along with the classic aluminum option, you can also choose the more muted yet classy matte black finish. The price tag of $1,000 is on the steeper side but it’s all worth for purists who known what Nocs stands for.

Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 is my go-to everyday carry (EDC). At Yanko Design, we typically think of EDC items as tools like a knife, screwdriver, or flashlight—all rolled into one neat package. However, for those of us who need great audio for music, conference calls, and more, the AirPods Pro 2 are perfect. Their design is sleek and compact, fitting comfortably in the ear with different ear tip sizes to get the right fit. The charging case is genius—small enough to slip into the coin pocket of your jeans, making it super easy to carry around.

Designer: Apple

I gave my AirPods Pro to my 11-year-old, thinking I could get by with other brands of earbuds or headsets. That was a big mistake. Nothing else matched the seamless experience of switching between my iPhone, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. The AirPods Pro just work, no fuss.

With the new H2 chip, the sound quality is top-notch. Enhanced Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes let you dive into your music or stay aware of your surroundings. The Adaptive Transparency mode even adjusts to loud noises on the fly. Plus, the battery life is impressive—up to six hours with ANC on and up to 30 hours with the charging case. No more constant recharges.

The Personalized Spatial Audio feature, with dynamic head tracking, makes listening feel unique to you. The new touch controls on the stems are super handy for adjusting the volume on the go. Thanks to their stealth design, one could even use them as earplugs for sleeping on an airplane. I enjoy doing yard work, so they work amazingly well at blocking out the loud sound of a lawnmower and weed wackers.

I missed my AirPods Pro so much that I took them back, ordered a new pair for my kid, and snagged them at 20% off on Amazon. They’re just that good.

For anyone in the Apple ecosystem, it’s tough to recommend anything else. The seamless integration, amazing sound quality, and smart design make them an essential part of daily life. These little gems combine functionality, style, and tech into one awesome package.

Looking Forward to What’s Next

At WWDC 2024, Apple announced exciting updates for the AirPods lineup, aiming to make them even better for daily use and gaming. One cool new feature is interacting with Siri using head movements. Exclusive to AirPods Pro, you can nod or shake your head to answer or dismiss calls, manage notifications, and interact with messages silently. The H2 chip’s machine learning makes this hands-free experience seamless.

AirPods Pro also got a voice isolation upgrade. This tech reduces background noise during calls, making sure your voice comes through clearly, even in noisy or windy places. Apple introduced a new API for game developers to optimize games for AirPods. This means better dynamic head tracking and reduced audio latency, making the gaming experience on Apple devices more immersive. Latency is way down, making these earbuds great for gaming. AirPods Pro, paired with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, offers Apple’s best wireless audio latency ever for mobile gaming.

With support for 16-bit, 48kHz audio in games, your voice will come through crystal clear to teammates and other players. Perfect for those intense multiplayer sessions. These updates show Apple’s drive to make AirPods even better. The new features and enhancements will be available as a free firmware update this fall, with the developer beta available now for Apple Developer Program members.

Why Choose the AirPods Pro 2 Over the Original AirPods Pro and Regular AirPods?

On this Mobile Monday, we’re focusing on the AirPods Pro 2, and here’s why they stand out compared to the original AirPods Pro and regular AirPods. When it comes to wireless earbuds, Apple’s AirPods lineup offers several options, but the AirPods Pro 2 is the clear choice for several compelling reasons.

First, the AirPods Pro 2 feature the new H2 chip, which significantly enhances audio performance. The sound quality is richer and more immersive, with deeper bass and clearer highs. This is a noticeable improvement over both the original AirPods Pro and the regular AirPods, making your music, podcasts, and calls sound better than ever.

While the original AirPods Pro introduced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the AirPods Pro 2 took it to the next level. Enhanced ANC means you can block out more ambient noise, allowing for a more focused listening experience. The new Adaptive Transparency mode also dynamically adjusts to sudden loud noises, protecting your ears while still letting you stay aware of your surroundings.

Battery life is crucial for wireless earbuds, and the AirPods Pro 2 delivers. With ANC enabled, they offer up to six hours of listening time, and the charging case extends this to up to 30 hours. This is a significant improvement over the original AirPods Pro and regular AirPods, which means less frequent charging and more time enjoying your audio.

One of the standout features of the AirPods Pro 2 is Personalized Spatial Audio. This technology tailors the audio experience to the unique shape of your ears, providing an immersive, theater-like sound. Combined with dynamic head tracking, it creates a more engaging and personalized listening experience, which is a step up from what the original AirPods Pro and regular AirPods offer.

The AirPods Pro 2 supports Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring a more stable and efficient connection with your devices. The new touch controls on the stems are intuitive and allow you to adjust volume with a simple swipe, making them easier to use on the go compared to the original AirPods Pro and regular AirPods.

The AirPods Pro 2 comes with additional ear tip sizes, ensuring a more customized fit for a wider range of users. This improves both comfort and the effectiveness of noise cancellation. The regular AirPods, with their one-size-fits-all design, can’t match this level of personalized fit.

With updates announced at WWDC 2024, the AirPods Pro 2 is set to receive even more features that enhance usability. From head movement-based Siri interactions to improved voice isolation for clearer calls, these upcoming updates make the AirPods Pro 2 a future-proof investment.
